Nancy O'Dell's broadcast career began as a reporter and anchor for WPDE-TV Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Later she was a morning-news anchor and crime report at WCBD TV. Her reporting in Charleston about the police's leniency toward DUI cases has led to an investigation by the State Law Enforcement Division investigating the incidents. The Associated Press honored Ms. O'Dell with the Best Report of the Years award in the entirety of South Carolina Media. In the years following her stay living in Charleston, O'Dell worked as an anchor co-host for NBC's Miami Station WTVJ-TV and as an investigative reporter.
