Malin Akerman was born Malin Akermanden in Stockholm on May 12th, 1978. The family lived on the Canadian border in Ontario, Canada. Akerman became famous due to her role in the Watchmen's Laurie Joule/Silk Spectre 2, in which she played Laurie Jupiter. Akerman played Lara Axelrod on the notorious show on TV called Billions. In the films Guardians and Deplorability, she was renowned as a character in scenes when she was naked. Akerman got her start as a model, before transforming to acting, and she is now a part of a wide range of films and television shows. Her most famous roles include Silk Spectre II (in the film adaption of Watchmen) as well as Lara Axelrod (in the television series Billions).
